But I'm not very flexible.
Can't touch your toes, do a handstand or stand on one foot for more than a moment? Perfect! On a basic level a Yoga practice (or more correctly: a Hatha Yoga Asana practice) is about gradually reducing the gap between what the mind decides and what the body can deliver. Strength is balanced against flexibility, calmness against awareness, thought against action. Balance is the key. And good teaching. Yoga isn't gymnastics or aerobics; it's not about looking a particular way or striking a perfect pose. It's about carefully developing and maintaining the greatest range of movement, strength, flexibility, balance and equanimity that is possible for you on any day and at any time. With patience and persistence, you will never look back.
Todd teaches in a multileveled style, so there are very few people who couldn't attend a class or benefit from it greatly. Absolute beginners are welcomed. Experienced yogis are welcomed. If you're not sure, call Todd and talk to him; he is always keen to speak to students about yoga and what they can expect..
